Introduction to the Pottery Wheel


In this beginning pottery wheel class, you will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel. We will provide all material and instruction. 


Over the course of 5-weeks, you will learn how to transform clay through the different stages of the making process as well as the tools and techniques used to create wheel thrown pottery. We will teach you how to design and glaze your pieces. You will be able to use everything you make when you have finished this course.

This class includes 10 hours of instruction over 5 consecutive weeks, the clay, glaze, and use of studio tools and equipment is included.


Additional clay and/or personal tools can be purchased separately, but are not required.

Note: There is a minimum of four people needed to run each session. If a session you signed up for does not have enough people, we will roll you over to the next class start date.
