Take a deep dive into surface design techniques, using the elements and principles in clay, underglazing vs. slip, deciding whether to glaze or leave the clay body unglazed, controlling the work time of your clay, and much more!

This workshop is for all levels, from beginners to advanced. All materials, including carving tools, underglazes, and clay tiles. Bring your own piece, which has already been thrown and trimmed, still at the leather hard stage and ready for carving.
